looking for a Public Health Supervisor for our Communicable Disease Division.

The responsibilities of the Public Health Supervisor – Communicable Disease include team leadership and day-to-day management of department operations. This is a working supervisor position with responsibility for communicable disease report follow-up including tuberculosis, HIV, STIs, outbreak management, immunizations, and refugee health screening.

As part of the department leadership team, this position contributes to departmental planning, public health preparedness, communications, performance management, quality improvement, and assurance of the efficient use of resources for the delivery of the highest level of programs and services to advance the health of our communities.

Essential functions also include leading program staff in establishing goals and actions plans, assessing community needs and evaluating programs, and providing clear and appropriate direction to staff.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Education, Nursing, Environmental Health, Public Health Administration, Public Administration or a closely related field is preferred. At a minimum, a bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

  • Three years professional work experience in public health or a closely related setting.

  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Prior communicable disease follow-up and outbreak management experience preferred.
